EXOpod is a highly versatile and flight-proven CubeSat deployment system designed to integrate seamlessly with any launch vehicle. Available in 6U/8U, 12U, and 16U configurations, the system can be internally partitioned to accommodate CubeSats ranging from 0.25U up to 16U, enabling maximum mission flexibility.
Once the deployment doors are closed, CubeSats are securely locked in place using a robust retention mechanism that ensures stability throughout launch and ascent. Since 2017, EXOpods have flown on 33 missions, successfully deploying 426 CubeSats, establishing one of the strongest flight heritages in the industry.
EXOpod supports rapid deployment and reset within minutes, significantly reducing integration and operational timelines. Its design allows CubeSats deployed via EXOpod to exceed traditional CDS constraints, increasing lateral protrusion volume by up to 400% and allowable mass by up to 30%, enabling more capable and power-efficient satellite architectures.
Multiple access windows on several sides of the deployer provide easy post-integration access for testing, pre-flight checks, and Remove-Before-Flight (RBF) pin extraction. EXOpod is fully ITAR-free, removing export barriers for international missions.
